Copyright And Takedowns
We respect copyright and we expect the same in return. If material on Atlas Lab Music infringes work you own, this page explains how to have it taken down.
Sending a notice
Write to [email protected] with the subject line Copyright Notice and include all of the following:
- Identification of the work you say has been infringed, with a link to the original if one exists.
- The exact address of the page on this site that carries the material, plus enough detail to find it on that page.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices slow everything down. A notice that identifies the page and the work clearly is usually resolved within a few working days.
What happens next
We review the notice ourselves. If it looks well founded we remove or replace the material first and argue about it afterwards, because an editorial blog has nothing to gain from holding on to someone else’s photograph. We keep a record of the notice and of what we did about it.
Counter notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter notice to the same address. Include the material that was removed, where it appeared, your contact details, your signature and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed in error. We will pass it to the original complainant and restore the material unless they pursue the matter further.
Repeat infringement
Commenters who repeatedly post infringing material lose the ability to comment here. We would rather have a quiet comment section than a legal one.
